Announcing Sweet Shalom's Tea Tasting Club

Have you ever wondered how to tell a Darjeeling tea from a Ceylon, an oolong from a white? Have you questioned what kind of plant tea comes from and where it is grown? Do you know how to brew a delicious tasting cup of tea? Would you like to experiment with tasting new and exotic teas?  Join our tea tasting club and find out more! 

In this six session series, tea specialists from Sweet Shalom Tea Room will present an insightful introduction to the complexities of tea.  Explore the history of tea and the regions where tea is cultivated, harvested and processed.  Brew and sample antioxidant white teas, fresh healthy green teas, rich deep oolongs and brisk black teas from China, Japan, Taiwan, and India.  Learn to recognize aroma, briskness, body and flavor notes.  Learn to properly brew each type of tea.  Each session will start with a delicious home made scone and a relaxing cup of tea.  Join our friendly and fun loving group. 

We will meet, starting in April, at 4:00 PM on the first Thursday of every month, with the exception of August when we will meet on August 12th.
